1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Signature Sound website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services

Signature Sound provides professional DJ, Master of Ceremonies, photo booth, and event enhancement services. All services are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of a signed contract and deposit payment.

3. Booking & Deposits

  • A non-refundable retainer/deposit is required to secure your event date.
  • Your event date is not reserved until a signed contract and deposit are received.
  • The remaining balance is due as specified in your individual service agreement.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing. The following terms apply:

  • Deposits are non-refundable in all circumstances.
  • Cancellations made within 90 days of the event date may be subject to the full contracted amount.
  • Signature Sound reserves the right to cancel services in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (force majeure).

5. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients are responsible for securing any required venue permissions for special effects (cold sparks, dancing on a cloud, uplighting, etc.).
  • Clients must provide accurate event details including venue, timing, and guest count.
  • Any changes to the event schedule must be communicated in writing at least 30 days in advance.

6. Limitation of Liability

Signature Sound's liability is limited to the total amount paid for services. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including images, text, logos, and design elements, is the property of Signature Sound and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written consent.

8. Website Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. Unauthorized use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Dakota. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Minnehaha County, South Dakota.

10. SMS Messaging Terms (A2P 10DLC Compliance)

By opting in to receive SMS/MMS messages from Signature Sound, you agree to the following terms:

  • Opt-in: You explicitly consent to receive text messages at the phone number you provide by checking the SMS opt-in box on our forms or by texting a keyword to our number.
  • Message content: Messages may include booking confirmations, event reminders, quote follow-ups, service updates, and — if you opt in — promotional content.
  • Frequency: Message frequency varies (typically 2-8 messages per month).
  • Opt-out: Reply "STOP" to any message to unsubscribe. Reply "HELP" for assistance. Standard message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
  • Carrier liability: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Age requirement: You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to opt in to SMS messaging.
  • Number changes: If your phone number changes, you must re-opt in to continue receiving messages.

11. Payment Terms (Stripe)

  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
  • By submitting payment, you authorize Stripe to charge your designated payment method for the agreed amount.
  • Deposits and retainers are non-refundable as outlined in Section 4.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be issued to the original payment method and may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement, subject to your bank's processing times.
  • Chargebacks or payment disputes must be reported to us before initiating a dispute with your bank or card issuer.
  • All pricing is in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
