Meet Our Owner, Master of Ceremonies and DJ: Brandon Callenius
Brandon is the heart behind Signature Sound.
He grew up on a family farm in northwestern Iowa, where hard work, responsibility, and showing up for others weren't optional — they were simply how things were done. That work ethic still defines how he runs his business today.
Brandon's DJ journey began in high school, providing music for dances at a church camp where he volunteered. What started as a way to serve his community quickly became a passion. He continued DJing throughout college, returning regularly to play events and refine his skills.
Moved to Sioux Falls and joined a local DJ company, marking the transition from passion to profession.
Launched Top Notch Entertainment and established a three-year residency at Borrowed Bucks Roadhouse, sharpening crowd-reading and energy-building skills.
Company evolved into Sioux Falls Mobile DJ, performing hundreds of weddings and events across the region.
Brand refreshed with a new identity, redesigned website, and name change to Signature Sound.

Our Enhanced Sound Coverage upgrade is designed for larger venues, expansive ballrooms, barns, and spaces where additional speakers help ensure music and announcements are evenly distributed throughout the room. This enhancement adds extra satellite speakers to provide fuller coverage, improved clarity, and a more immersive experience—especially on the dance floor. Every venue is different. Some spaces naturally require additional speakers to sound their best. While our DJ packages are thoughtfully built to perform well in most environments, certain layouts benefit from added sound reinforcement to maintain consistent volume and clarity from front to back.
